BISHOP MITROPHAN CELEBRATES ST. SAVA IN BELGRADE
Belgrade, Serbia - The feast of St. Sava was formally celebrated with the Holy Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at the church of St. Sava on Vracar in Belgrade. The Holy Liturgy was served by His Grace Bishop Petar of Cleveland with the concelebration of Bishop Mitrophan of Eastern America and Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno, priests and deacons.
A large number of faithful gathered at the Holy Liturgy to prayerfully celebrate St. Sava. According to the Gospel in a divinely inspired homily, His Grace Bishop Mitrophan spoke of the life of this saint, which is important for all the Christian world. Following the cutting of the Slava Kolach the dean of the church, together with the clergy, prepared a plentiful meal.
