BISHOP GEORGIJE OF CANADA VISITS PARISH IN JOHANNESBURG
Johannesburg, South Africa - Representatives of His Holiness Patriarch Irinej, His Grace Bishop Georgije of Canada, accompanied by V. Rev. Zlatibor Djurasevic from the Oakville parish and Dr. Goran Popovic, Vice President of the Diocesan Council of the Canadian Diocese, arrived on Wednesday, October 18, 2012 for an archpastoral visit to the St. Thomas the Apostle parish in Johannesburg, for the patronal feast.
This visit of Bishop Georgije from distant Canada was a great blessing for the Serbian parish and all Orthodox Christians in Africa.
Bishop Georgije was welcomed at the airport by Archimandrite Panteleimon and his brother clergy from the Metropolitante of Johannesburg and Pretoria, in the spirit of traditional Serbian hospitality.
