PATRIARCH OF MOSCOW OF BLESSED REPOSE TO BE BURIED ON TUESDAY
Metropolitan Amphilohije of Montenegro and Bishop Vasilije of Zvornik-Tuzla to Attend


His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Russia will be buried on Thursday, December 9 at Epiphany Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Alexy, which was his personal wish, expressed earlier in his will, stated Metropolitan Cyril of Smolensk and Kalingrad, the head of the External Relations Department of the Russian Church. Also in the same church was buried former Patriarch Sergius, one of predecessors of the last patriarch.

The body of Patriarch Alexy II of Russia of blessed repose until today was in the chapel of All-Holly Mother of God at the Patriarchate residence, where patriarch died yesterday morning .Today it will be brought to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, where tonight is going to be celebrated the All-Night Vigil so the faithful can say goodbye to their first hierarch.

On Tuesday the Holy Liturgy will commence at 8:00 in the morning, and after its end the requiem will begin.

The requiem service and the funeral , on behalf of His Holiness Patriarch Pavle of Serbia and the Serbian Orthodox Church, will be attended by Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral, Archbishop Jovan of Ohrid and Metropolitan of Skopje, and Bishop Vasilije of Zvornik and Tuzla accompanied by priest Nebojsa Topolic, the secretary of the Office of His Holiness.

In the blessed repose, Our Lord, give a servant, Your Alexy, an eternal remembrance.
