Patriarch Irinej Met with the US Commission on International Relgious Freedom

His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej spoke with representatives of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom on March 3, 2020.

His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej was welcomed by Gayle Manchin, chair of the International Religious Freedom Commission, with her associates, Elizabeth Cassidy, Kelly Bacon and Kirsten Lavery. Nadine Manca, vice president, also participated in the telephone conversation.

Patriarch Irinej was greeted with words of welcome by Ms. Manhin, who expressed her joy over the visit of the high delegation of the Serbian Orthodox Church. His Holiness the Patriarch outlined the position of the Serbian Orthodox Church on various topics related to the Serbian people and the Serbian Orthodox Church.

Participating and attending the meeting were His Grace Bishop Jovan of Sumadija, member of the Holy Synod of Bishops, His Grace Bishop Irinej of Eastern America, Protonamesnik Dr. Vasilije Vranic, dean of the St. Luke Serbian Orthodox Church in Washington and Protodeacon Damjan Bozic.
