for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people'” (Lk 2:10)
Beloved brothers and sisters,
Behold the words which brought cheer and encouragement to millions upon millions of Christian martyrs and victims, and today encourages and strengthens all of His faithful followers in all of their troubles and afflictions. They were conscious of the fact that they were suffering for Christ, who was born for us and our salvation, so that He might transform our grief into great joy in this valley of sorrows (Psalm 84:6). For they were firmly convinced that only in Him are they given meaning to their lives (Romans 5:18).
These glad tidings of the birth of the Savior of the world were not only for the chosen Jewish people, but for all people. And among them are our own people who are in need of heavenly comfort today more than ever before, especially our brothers and sisters in the suffering Kosovo and Metohija. Let us pray that our Lord and Savior wipe away all of their tears (Rev. 7:17).
Many thanks for responding to all of our pleas for material and spiritual help to all those who were in need during these past years. I am convinced that you will do the same now on the eve of this great Christian feast, helping them and us. For we are all one body (1 Cor. 12:13).
May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ bless you with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places (Eph. 1:3).
I joyously greet you with the words:
INDEED HE IS BORN
AND A HAPPY AND BLESSED 2012 YEAR IN THE LORD
Your intercessor before the Christ-child,
